Today we have the privilege of premiering the new single, “Godspeed, Los Angeles,” from singer/songwriter, Hannah Bethel. No stranger to the music scene, Hannah has been making the rounds in Nashville since she moved there at age 18. Since that time, she’s released three albums and her video for the song, “Train,” was featured on CMT. Don’t try to pin Hannah down into any one genre though, as she blurs lines between country, Americana, folk, rock, and pop. Described as a “fiercely independent, wild, free, and untamed spirit,” her music blends elements of the many genres and styles that have influenced her writing and creative expression. Born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, she grew up in Houghton, Michigan, listening to country and Seventies rock and drawing inspiration from Tom Petty, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Willie Nelson, and others.

Hannah had this to say about her newest single, "'Godspeed, Los Angeles” is about truly wishing the best for someone, even if that means you won’t be around to see it and it hurts to let them go. It’s about rooting for them to stand up against their every demon and never give up."

Easily my favorite song on her upcoming EP, which is slated to be released in March, “Godspeed, Los Angeles” may carry a heavy message about letting go of someone you love, but the delightfully upbeat feeling of the song leaves you feeling anything but down. Hannah’s soaring vocals can turn any song into something special and this one is no exception. It feels like the kind of song you’re going to blare in your car with the windows down, singing your heart out, even when all you want to do is lament the fact that you’ve lost at love.

Recorded at Blackbird Studios, Nashville. Produced by Tim Craven (The Brethren/Boys Club for Girls) and mixed by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer, Brandon Bell (Brandi Carlile/The Highwomen/Miranda Lambert and more). Featuring Hannah Bethel on acoustic guitar and vocals, Sadler Vaden on electric guitar (Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit/Morgan Wade), Billy Justineau on synth and B3 (Brothers Osborne/Eric Church), Jabe Beyer on acoustic guitar (Natalie Hemby/Lucie Silvas), Megan Jane on drums (Erin Enderlin/MollyTuttle), Peter Sternberg on bass (Brothers Osborne), Tim Craven on electric guitar, percussion, programming/loops and Haley Arnott on harmonies and background vocals.

You can find the new single, out everywhere, on February 25th.
